Epiphany Shiraz 2018

2018 Smooth, rich, lush. Great value and lingering full-mouth finish. Hint of jammy berries on the taste and just a great warm climate red from there. Would buy it again and again in a heartbeat. — 5 years ago

Fox Hill Vineyard Touriga Nacional Rosé

this reminds me of one thing: a sonic cherry limeade. smells like bright strawberries and cherries, tastes like an explosion of tart acidic fizzy cherry-lime with a yeasty aftertaste. im in love (not imported) — 6 years ago

Maresh Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

Just gorgeous—maybe my favorite yet from Kelley Fox. The old vines, elevation and pacific breeze of this site clearly contribute to an incredible elegance and transparency. Vibrant strawberry, rhubarb and black cherry with spice, forest floor and tilled soil. I don’t have enough experience to know how high end wine ages under screw cap but honestly it’s in a great place right now. — 6 years ago

Kick Ranch Vineyards Home Run Cuvée Grenache Blend 2013

The 2010 Esprit de Beaucastel from Tablas Creek was a tough act to follow, but this elegant Rhône blend from Sonoma just did that.

The nose was quite similar with aroma of blue fruits and earthy elements with hint of violet, it was the palate that set it apart: soft, complex and deep, with great texture and beautiful acidity that adds the tension. Elegant and seamless.

Kale Anderson was the long time wine maker at Pahlmeyer, and Kale wines are all vineyard-specific. Worth seeking out.
