Wine 2 of 2 for Valentine's Day Revival Fried Chicken takeout! Some serious Chenin bubbles. Another wine with simultaneous richness and verve. Ripe, slightly bruised green apple and Anjou pear, smoky crushed chalk minerality, a honeyed, beeswaxy character, yeasty brioche dough, and some very slight anise-y spice and dried floral notes. I'd like a bit more body though, and it seems pretty tannic still.
