Great wine with any Italian food and grilled meats. — 10 years ago
This has all the hallmarks of a quality zinfandel, down to the jammy red fruits and pepperish nose. What sets it apart is the first notes I smelled when I stuck my nose in the glass: gorgeous red and purple flowers that offer grace and beauty to an otherwise behemoth of a wine. At 15.9% abv this wine drinks even higher, if you can believe that. Drink with food, but enjoy regardless. — 11 years ago
Good with spicy food. (Paella) — 11 years ago
Bright apple flavors, not too sweet with a light cirrus bite at the end. Perfect accompaniment to spicy Asian food but goes well with Ethiopian or Jamaican also. — 12 years ago
Food friendly & well balanced. — 10 years ago
Lovely fruit on the palate. Easily drinkable. Not especially complex and no real late palate. Good food wine. — 10 years ago

Surprisingly light and fruity. Works well with wide variety of food. — 11 years ago
Lovely jammy fruit, but made with restraint. Decent complexity and nice balance , great with food. — 11 years ago
Fresh red fruits and flowers bucket. Drinkability 120/100 points ;) very special. Doesn't need food. Full of joy! — 12 years ago
Really, really nice, esp at this price point. Light color, nice fruit, flowery nose, serious tannins. Very food friendly and flexible. A joy. Mellowed out on day 2, but I liked it more when it was sharper day 1.

Light garnet color bordering on delicate with fine sediment. Musty almond paste on closed nose. Tart apricot, cherry pie. Clover, allspice finish. Lingering menthol appears with time. So many more notes rise and fall with food. Soft, luscious, curious and lovely. — 10 years ago
