Slight oak taste. Good with chicken. With Anthony 8/28/16 — 9 years ago
What the what?! This was a mere less-than-eight buck wine I do not even get it. #deal the eye says it is a delightful burgundy not so profound as an elder would wear but perhaps Madonna would in a a pseudo-religious music vid (do I hear like a prayer?) ...on ye olde nose: must, old church and very very ripe cherries. The tongue: light but not tooooo light body. It is apple and pear and cherry all at once then...PEPPER! Hella green pepper. But enough sassy he be sais pas to make me be innnn to the green pepper. Normally I discriminate against green pepper (as opposed to black, white or pink) but the fresh factor is grand here. — 10 years ago

Lovely smooth taste! One of the best Pinot Noirs I have enjoyed ! — 6 years ago
Buen vino, do campo de borja, garnacha y tempranillo. Equilibrado y estructurado y a buen precio — 7 years ago
This is Campo de Borja wine made from 100% Garnacha grapes taken from 100-year-old vines. The wine experienced just four months in French oak, and hits 14% abv on the alcohol scale.
The nose on this wine is subtle, but expressive. Dark berries and oak spice sum it up, but to leave it at that doesn't do it justice. The fruit points toward savory while the spice shows a sweet side. Vanilla, soft and gentle, mix with the sort of cinnamon you put in oatmeal. The cigar box is the one you kept lemon drops in as a kid. On the palate we find that everything is all grown up. It's a lovely and elegant sip, a grape effortlessly shirking off the criticism that it isn't pretty enough. But even though it's pretty, it can still fight dirty. Don't expect it to punch you in the nose, but don't let your guard down, either. — 9 years ago

I do love this stuff! — 10 years ago
Mind Blowing! For a fino sherry, the depth and complexity of this wine is unrivaled. This is THE benchmark for all Finos. The previous reviews do a great job describing the taste. This is the only Fino that still follows traditional methods - aged under flor for 8 - 10 years in an oak Solera. Oh - and the palomino grapes all come from a single vineyard as well. Honestly, there is no better fino than this. Drink it with a plate of smoked ham and almonds or some strong tasting sushi. Enjoy! — 7 years ago
Sitting on the lanai in Grand Cayman sipping the wine 2012 one of the more reasonable wines for sale here. Going down very easy lightly peppered with plum and blueberry fruit taste possibly coffee. The color is dark and the aroma is as it tastes with pepper and dark fruit. — 9 years ago
Fantastic sappier rendition of Trousseau that really impresses with its light body; pepper, lots of powdered dry green stemminess on the nose. Stemminess, fresh fruit and tannin that carries you along like a feather. Really like this. The somm at Meson do Campo in Villalba lit up with joy when I picked it off his list. "This is the single greatest red on my list that I recommend". What's great is leveraging this in a heavy meal with a buttery steak, and finding respite from the inevitable heaviness. So refreshing to taste a wine from Spain that's light bodied and free of oak--even if certain Mencia growers in Ribeira Sacra and some Penedès reds do it reasonably often. — 9 years ago
Half late harvest, half ripasso style Merlot. Fantastic. Dense and explosives with well contained sweetness of fruit. An exceptional example of what reds can do in this area of Italy. — 9 years ago
Concentrated wild berries and raspberry, in a wine very well structured and with medium + acidity. Full bodied and still showing signs of youth. Will age very well. — 10 years ago
Beautiful. Let's do this again — 10 years ago
