Typical Piemont and difficult to drink for most but seriously good. Buy for the money. — 6 years ago
Still super young, slowly opens up only after 48h!
Very fruit for a Sfursat, with ripe dark berries and blackberry jam, a touch of kirsch and some leather & spices in the background. On the palate more Sfursat like, the spices and richness comes out yet his one has a juicy acidity that is singing! Impeccably balanced, layered, complex yet elegant and with polished tannins. A beautiful wine - just don’t open it yet! — 7 years ago

A transfiguring, shape-shifting demon of flavor and memory. A single sip is like the ending scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey but instead of weird space stuff, it's the rolling hills of Piedmont and 1000s of herbs and fruits morphing into one another. #magic @Raymond Domenico — 9 years ago
Founded in 1979 by Giovanni Cantele and his two sons Augusto and Domenico. Ruby with big fruit aromas with sweet jammy notes. On the palate concentrated berry fruit flavors, a bit jammy and sweet, lively acidity, surprisingly great balance. Firm tannins yielding a medium finish ending with noticeable alcohol. Good value for a wine with a bit of complexity. — 5 years ago
A great example of Clerico's trademark combination of ripe dark fruit and spice and brown sugar, and with a touch of florality, it is drinking very well now. It won't be mistaken for a traditional Barolo, but it has plenty of its own charms to offer and deserves to be appreciated for what it is more than for what it isn't. — 7 years ago
Rip and rich taste of plum! Dinner at San Domenico Hotel-two Michelin stars. Very good dessert wine. Taormina, Sicily — 7 years ago

Purchased at bachelorette wine tasting in April 2019, opened August 2019. As good as I remembered it! Drank with Piero for Sunday dinner grill night. — 6 years ago
Not much has changed with this delicious Nebbiolo. This time we decanted it for 2.5 hours while cooking up home made butter chicken. It’s a light to medium colour, reminiscent of natural strawberry or raspberry juice. Fresh smell of vanilla, strawberries, roses, flowers and hint of smokiness. Taste; starts of with fresh red fruits and vanilla. In the middle there is mild to medium leather chewiness. Also there is a definite subtle cigar box smell and some kind of chocolate. It finishes off with a fresh acidity that complements the beginning and middle. Overall, red fruit and rose Nebbiolo that has good complexity and fresh acidity that keeps you engaged. The butter chicken was great as well. — 7 years ago
Tobacco, leather, dark dark cherry, blueberry, wild mushroom on the nose. Medium/strong tannins. Excellent smooth finish. Bright cherry (typical Italian), Coca-Cola, dark chocolate on the palate. Barolo is Barolo. It rarely disappoints and this certainly is a fine example. — 8 years ago
2010 vintage. First thing I notice is the brown, red color. I think I get olive on the nose. Nicely balanced acidity and tannins. The wife thinks she noted dried cherry and licorice. Very interesting wine. — 8 years ago
