Brief decant then enjoyed with a duck breast au poivre. Old school, un-spoofy Bordeaux. Still young, showing cassis, cedar, green olive, a touch of saddle leather. Missing toasty oak, gobs of any damn thing, fruit munitions, or any sort of jacked jelly donut bullshit. Glad this is still made. 1000 Points. Re-buy? Damn right! Lemon sherbet. Very unusual nv still wine from champagne. Intense lemon flavour paired with a John Dory and lime kumquats. Struggled a little but this wine is worth a try with a delicate white fish. — 9 years ago
