Very good Rosso di Montalcino! Especially with hard cheese and Italian bread! Would also be great with pasta, grilled meats, etc al. Just okay as a sipping wine but comes alive with food!Cherries, brambley fruits, low tannins, good qpr especially as compared to Brunello! — 9 months ago

The 2013 vintage enjoyed Classic cool weather, and the 2013 San Polo reveals what old time Brunellos were like prior to global warming. It is medium bodied, colorful, with persistent fruit and underbrush aromatics; flavorsome, balanced, crisp and energetic with refined tannins. Lovely wine. — 6 months ago
Paired with Bolognese sauce. Nice wine with food. 2022 vintage - really should have been decanted first. Solid depth and good fruit. Tannins hit up front a bit too much. — 7 months ago
2019 Took some time to open but good nose and ruby colour excellent structure in mouth with good balance of berry flavours acidity and tannins

Blackberry jam. Leather, spice, herbs, tobacco. Violets. Intriguing oxidized quality. Supple, lingering acidity and long finish. Very groovy. Thank you @Gene Bodemer ! — 9 years ago
A real treat to see a 34 year old Italian beauty. Dried herb and fruit. Earthy, dark dried fruits. Soft soft tannin with rounded acid. Lost its vibrancy and that bang that sucks you in. Admirable it has held up and a beautiful experience. 89 points. — 11 years ago
Nice acidity. By far one of my favorites from Italy. — 12 years ago
