White peach, white stones, and a citrus zest. Clean, crisp, refreshing. — 8 years ago
Pale color. White peach, white stone, and a citrus finish. Less acidity than the 15. Nice though. — 8 years ago
As with any awesome eiswein, the experience begins with anticipation watching liquid gold pour from the bottle. At first taste, the perfect amount of acid pinches the tongue and carries stone fruit and caramel notes across the finish line. Luxuriously viscous. Fantastic. — 8 years ago
The last of one of the most interesting wines I've ever tasted. Busting with zest and flavor.

A hint of petrol on the nose with hyacinth flowers. Dried apricots, and orange cream on the palate. Richer than 2010, but nicely balanced. — 10 years ago
Such a special treat! Stunning balance, sea breeze/salinity and ripe orchard with soft honey notes. — 10 years ago

Great, focused Spätburgunder rosé from the Nahe. Another solid effort from Schäfer-Frölich. Appears there's barely any skin contact; pours a very pale, bright, almost silver-y copper color. Lean 'n' mean. A bit reductive at first; splash it into a decanter a bit before serving and it'll help it blow off though. On the nose, a pile of wet, crushed stone, cranberries, slightly underripe watermelon, a slight herbaceousness and a bit of lager-y lees character. The palate is pretty congruent in term of flavor to the aromatic character, with bright, high acid and just a touch of RS to help round it off and add a little extra oomph to the fruit character. Light, lean body. Incredibly food-friendly wine. Nice companion in this 95 degree heat. — 8 years ago

Another gorgeous wine from a wonderful winemaker. Almost as good as their amazing Riesling rose. Dry, crisp apple and pear flavors. Stunning. — 9 years ago

Crunchy, light and invigorating on the palate, the 2016 Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) from Schäfer-Fröhlich shows lemon and pear, with a subtle smoky minerality that blends into a light creaminess at the back. — 7 years ago
