Light, bright, and refreshing. Great value — 3 years ago
Smells like “bubble gum” doesn’t taste that way but think this bottle is advanced due to storage because of an oxy note on palate. Nice acidity texture and length as you’d expect — 4 years ago
Weingut Werlitsch Freude 2015 biodynamic farming on steep hills in Styria. Sauv Blanc 50% and Chardonnay 50% grown on chalky marl, skin fermented for 2 weeks and aged on lees in large oak casks for 2 years. From Austria 13% ABV importer by winemonger — 7 years ago
This is the kind of thing you can only get inexpensively in Europe. Crispness belying it’s age. The vegetal notes from the Sauvignon balanced by the Chardonnay. I’d love to try it again in a decade. This was superb. — 7 years ago
This is so delicious! Tasted it at the winery last summer and got three bottles. This is the first one we opened and the second bottle is in fridge already. Reminds me of Puligny-Montrachet. Balanced, still fresh tasting. Really, really nice. — 9 years ago
Morillon vom Opok
Biodynamic Chardonnay from Steiermark.
Cloudy, smokey, yeasty, sappy, fresh!
Bruised apples, ripe lemons, underripe pineapple, green mango. Plus some hay, flinty, smokey aromas. Juicy, fresh, enticing.
On the palate with vibrant acidity, with great freshness & depth. Rough around the edges, with a touch of cidery notes, a bit of VA. There’s a creamy touch to the mouthfeel. And a mineral hint. This is ultra drinkable and so delicious. Love it! — 3 years ago

Love this wine, we paid 36 USD. Worth every penny — 6 years ago
The wine keeps evolving over a couple of hours. It gets cleaner with each tasting. The caramel color scared me at the outset, but it keeps improving — 7 years ago

15% ABV 40 + y/o vines w/ Frank Teldeschi Dry Creek budwood, south facing hillside w/ light fluffy soil. Nicely done again Fred! — 4 years ago
Bright yellow gold. Inviting nose of seared pineapple and yellow flowers. Firm acidity leads the medium palate of orange rind, yellow flowers, white pepper, and a hint of anise on the short-ish, but not unusual, finish. Excellent GV with more elegant layers of flavors than your typical Gruner. Want a special white for that Central European fare? This should be near the top of your list. Pork tenderloin with apples and asparagus were my go to. Drink now through 2024. — 4 years ago
Pale garnet in color, cherry, sweet/candied rose, vanilla. High alcohol. Tasty! — 6 years ago
