Holy hell this is great. And for $15?! Bought at auction. Such awesome actually Bordeaux-esk notes. Graphite, salted game meats, stewed red fruit, granny apples. Palette is rich with some tartness but round, strong acid, fine tannins and a long finish that leaves alcohol on your breath. It's just so my thing, and this rating reflects personal opinion far more than a "objective" rating would. — 7 years ago
vivid but earnest, low acidic but focused, high loaded (15% alcohol!) but well balanced - a rosé monument with intersting, sherry-esk fruit (yes, in a good way!) - certainly one of the best rosé wines without bubbles of the world! — 8 years ago
This is Hawkes Bay and not Marlborough as the app suggests — 9 years ago
masciarelli and valentini - the two supreme abruzzo vineries everybody else in the region has to compete with. for a reason i may add!
powerful and yet charming red, nose reminds me slightly of amarone though 2006 here has certainly less oxidative touch and feel than the 2004, fantastic fresh nose, hints of animalic attitude with impressive lenght. always underrated.
somehow libournais-esk, tannins are a bed of silk!
love it. — 9 years ago
Super interesting! Citrus, Apple and floral aromas, full bodied Riesling-esk palate. Pretty damn cool — 9 years ago
I asked for something obscure and ESK delivered. This was deliciously weird! (Although we probably didn't reeeeally need the second bottle ;) — 9 years ago
Big rich floral violets, raspberry, black cherry nose. The body is rich in acidity and violet plum flesh, blackberry, chalky esk tannins lingering with bright dark berries holding up the finish. Nice! — 11 years ago
Supporting a heart of gold, energized young smashed raspberries and decedent crushed cherry blossom covered immaculate white crunchy rough-around-the-edges-esk minerality. — 7 years ago
Delicious, ripe guava and white pears with a hint of key lime . Clean with bright light acidity. Long finish ! Totally worth it ! — 8 years ago
Barolo chinato slash amaro esk. White dessert wine that was very savory, herbaceous, with a pleasant sweetness. — 8 years ago
2014 Vintage.Nose: Flint, struck match, gunsmoke and lime complimented by a complex leesy finish. Palette: Rich, full and weighty but still maintains structure and acidity, citrus, grapefruit, balanced finesse in terms of oak, subtle leesy lingering finish. Complex, divine and super moorish. — 9 years ago
blind taken first impression was syrah-esk, herbal driven with a mint and menthol tendency, old world. no rhône wine, though.
aerated still herbal yet less aetheric, black fruit, blueberry compot. licorice, bit of rubber, chocolate cream, smooth power. super complex! wow!
(no vanilla, no coconut )
single vineyard rioja one has to understand. — 9 years ago
What you expect from Cornelissen. Funk in a glass. Kambucha-esk....strangely pleasing. — 9 years ago
2007 vintage...dark fruit in the nose, not cola-esk like the older bottle we had prior. Beautiful when it opened up! — 9 years ago
Aroma: tart raspberry, oaky, spices.
Taste: dry oaky, tart raspberry esk, flavors — 10 years ago
Little less of the silk you usually find from WA in a good way more Northern Rhone esk. Could be young or could be delicious you tell me. But I'll green light this one. — 11 years ago
Great vintage! — 7 years ago
Alcoholic! Brandy-esk. Thick raspberry liquor. — 7 years ago
Beautiful rich dark fruit. Bordeaux-esk. Baking spiced. Gravely attack, pungent mouth feel, acid dominates the finish with rough tannins. If Temecula was able to make wine like this... It would be another world. This is a fantastic offering. — 8 years ago
mon dieu!
always a pleasure!
super ripe but focused, baked apple with nutty butter brioche, sherry-esk afterhall (in a pleasant way!) — 8 years ago
Pinot esk, sappy, awesome , and she is just a baby — 9 years ago
Peach and lemon. Med plus body, good acid. Fruity unoaked Chardonnay esk. — 9 years ago
I am so in love with this wine. One of the most beautiful representations of Viognier in such a romantic form. Viscosity that gives it the curves of Marilyn Monroe and the acidity of Audrey Hepburn! Rich, floral, succulent and nothing less than honeyed nectarine and honeysuckle. And a saline-esk mineral finish that has you flirting with the next sip. Thank you Gangloff, thank you! — 9 years ago
Balsamic, reduction.priorat esk — 9 years ago
$11.99, Sancere-esk with out the price. Beautiful saline minerality and crisp fruit shine — 10 years ago
Apricot, honey, Viognier -esk 9/1 - 7.21/4 90 point Parker — 11 years ago
Geno Tomko
Very clean and precise. Has a plethora of riesling-esk aromatic but still very savory. It's compact and expressive at the same time. Opens up nicely. Very nice value. — 7 years ago
