Don Ernesto's Collage Lodi Roussanne Marsanne 2015

This Kosher 2015 Don Ernesto Collage, a Roussanne/Marasanne Blend, was a delight to the senses. On the nose, sweet dill, lime, guava, white peach, and Cream of Wheat. On the palate, the wine had good crisp acid, and a smooth medium body. The finish was medium in length, and the color a medium yellow, suggesting oak.
This wine is Mevushal.

Tikal

Patriota Mendoza Malbec Bonarda 2014

Tikal is owned by Ernesto Catena and is named after his son. Ernesto spent his childhood in the vineyards of Mendoza among local wine-growers. Deep red with purple edges and aged in oak for about 10 months. Aromas of berry fruit and spicy notes. On the palate raspberry and plum flavors with oak, cacao and cinnamon spice. Vivid acidity, dusty fine tannins ending with slight earthy edge. Nice value! — 7 years ago
