2017. Floral bouquet on the nose, punch of cherry cola. Black Forest gateau with kirsch and old leather. Herbal poultry blend on the finish. Rich and complex. Unami. — 4 months ago
First up, this is made by Master Sommelier-Raj Parr & his business partner Sashi Moorman. I studied for my Sommeliers test one day with Raj.
Second, this is one of few Santa Rita Hills I like. Most are over extracted for me. IMHO, many drink like Cabernet-Pinot blends. This is not. It is more Burgundian in style.
The 2018 is starting to come around. It shows some nice evolution & integration.
Lush & ripe entry of; blackberries, dark cherries, both plums, strawberries, black raspberries, raspberries, cranberries, dry herbs are bountiful, mid, dark spice, a touch of smoke, grilled meats, moist clay, limestone, dry top soil, some menthol, eucalyptus w/ bark, mid berry cola, red, dark, blue & purple florals for days, excellent round acidity, nice; tension, structure, balance & elegant finish that lands on spice & softened earth that lasts nearly two-minutes. — 6 months ago
Potent AF. Deep dark blackberry cassis fruit with an herbal undercurrent I adore. Fruit-forward with licorice and pepper underlying it. Ultimately luxurious, also AF in the ranking. A heady bottling with nuance and flavor and a perky and bullheaded, it will find a way. — 2 years ago

So dense and velvety ... notes of burgundy with charred citrus and sandalwood... touches of rose but extracted red fruit ... desiccated cherry with tobacco, clay, and bramble. Super concentrated for Willamette. — 6 years ago
Full of body and flavor for the price. Great Friday night steak wine! — 10 years ago
Found a restaurant gem. 2013 vintage in 2025.
Leather and smoke. Earthy, old world wine. Then, a bit of berries and smooth finish. Great dinner wine. Could pair with almost anything. — 3 months ago
Pale lemon with complex aromas of fresh ripe citrus and tropical fruits with zesty floral notes. On the palate flavors of peach, lime citrus and melon with lemongrass and floral herb notes. Long finish ending with juicy fruit, herb and citrus notes, lively acidity with mineral character. Outstanding! Will reward with a few years of age! — 4 months ago
If there’s a better Chardonnay than this for $30 I don’t know it. All Domaine De La Cote fruit. Cru Burg vibes. — 6 months ago
Light nose and light body. Nothing special but fine for a fish dinner. — 9 months ago
As good a Pinot - 2009. - that I have had. Seamless. Tannins and fruits in near perfect harmony. Initial taste - amazing. AND it finishes just as good. — 4 years ago

Drinking this wine made me forget Donald Trump was our president. Which begs the question, is it better to have drank, then to never drank at all?
