Delicious Sauvignon Blanc - Fun, bright slightly citrusy nose with notes of grapefruit, peach and other stone fruit. Smooth body with a crisp finish that lingers on the tongue. What a delight. — 10 years ago
The Gewurtztraminer was like nothing I've ever had...Turkish delight and the duff of pine forests. Thank you LAC and Meritage brasserie -good grief! — 11 years ago
My first night in DC for the American Heart Association's Heart's Delight! A weekend of wine... Off to a good start to make up for the 5-hour Air France delay! — 11 years ago
Many champagnes boast of their biscuity and brioche characteristics but in fact only deliver notes of ripe green apples. Not so this wine. Golden colour and very, very fine mousse. The initial flavour is white fruit, stone fruit and a lovely floral character. Then come the baked goods: brioche, biscuits, baked apples. This is very long and extremely fine - amazing delicate feel for a wine with such weight and complexity. A delight. — 12 years ago
Plum, cherry, and baking spice (heavy on the clove) on the nose. Rich, impressively-long finish of fresh earth and cherry. A surprising delight. — 10 years ago
We drank this at the Volcano Winery on the Big Island in Hawaii.
Our server said the wine was different than usual: probably because of an underground volcanic eruption! — 11 years ago
One of my faves. I ordered two half bottles - imagine my delight when I received two full bottles at the half bottle price. — 12 years ago

What can be said about d'Yquem can only be expressed in poetry, even in a modest vintage like 1998. It is an inner sanctum, a fragrant garden, a poignant release that is both profound and glorious. Descriptors cannot do it justice, sensual and honey-drenched layers of apricots, vanilla bean, creme brûlée and almond pastry. Viscous and glycerol-laden in the mouth, offset by dazzling acidity, dried fruit—quince, more apricots. A pure, honey-spun web of delight. I'm rambling, but d'Yquem does that. — 10 years ago
