Cuvée Redfoot Riesling 2013

Wow. I knew this wasn't a 'typical' riesling but this is great. The nose is subtle sweet reminiscent of cider, and almost earthy. On the palate there is an underlying sweetness with an almost chardonnay top note. It has a fresh acidity with some lemon lime/citrus notes. As it opened up (was too cold at the outset) the dry riesling emerged as well as notes of pear and green apples. The nose had more sweetness too once warmed. — 11 years ago

Definitely a tasty Riesling! Once the temp warmed up the glass of wine opened up and we got a lot more pear, green apples as well as the citrus and acidity that was initially there.

Lots of ripe peach, nectarine, a slight salinity that's very pleasant. Would go well with something spicy. — 11 years ago
