Tried this again, good value. St. Innocent Winery was founded in May 1988 by Mark Vlossak, with eight investors. Ten tons of grapes were crushed the first fall, producing about 575 cases of wine. Deep red with berry fruit aromas, spice and floral notes. On the palate cherry and raspberry flavors, juicy with herb pepper notes. Fine tannins, nicely balanced with acidity on a lingering finish ending with fruit and earthy mineral. Nice Value. — 7 years ago

2012 This seems to be at its best. Light well balance but short finish. — 9 years ago
An amazing value. Spiced fruit, clove, honey, vanilla, amazing oak notes - just an outstanding bourbon. It’s light enough that it would make an outstanding summer whisky, but drinking it neat with no water is serving me just right on this cold November night. — 6 years ago
tried at hunter valley. lightly sweet & summery, easy to drink. — 7 years ago
When it's 90 degrees in San Diego, really chilled, crisp, and dry Rose is the answer. Especially on a Friday afternoon. This Cote de Provence is very nice. Trending towards dry Riesling, just the way I like it. Nice minerals. Rating confirmed at NCWC for their top 10 '17. WS 90 Pts as well. — 8 years ago
Garnet. Orange medium-sized rim.
Lovely balanced with aromas of cigarbox, dried red apples, figs and chocolate. Really a blend of red ripe fruits and dark fruits. Peppery.
Dry. Medium acidity. Medium high plus tannins. Medium plus alcohol. But very well integrated. Full, lean body.
Great balance.
Serve at 16 degrees celsius with braised ox, cabbage and butter fried artichokes.

Revisiting. It actually did well with a smidge of age. Less saline more really ripe kumquat. I want this wine to be my best friend. Like we are both gonna change and mature but will always provide quality us-time to each other. Dang I’m worried Eight Cellars isn’t making wine anymore? Because I was able to buy 2014 Sauvignon Blanc in 2018... — 7 years ago

I needed a monster to pair with the ultimate smoky BBQ. This Cab fit the bill. — 8 years ago
A steal at $16. Perfect with Sushi. Ian Cauble recommended decanting for 60 minutes and serve between 45-55 degrees. Spot on! "This wine's sea air, old vines, and inimitable soil deliver a sensory experience on par with Chablis." — 9 years ago

Certainly different than The Pontiff. This was lighter and more classically Rosé whereas in a blinder glass I’m not sure I would identify The Pontiff as a Rosé at all. For my taste, this was enjoyable, but not mind-blowing (which is usually the case for me with wines from SQN). — 6 years ago
