2nd wine from Bevan. In honor of parker release of Napa '10. Dark red core with deep ruby edges. Nose is graphite, black currants, loamy earth and good spice, barely a trace of oak. The palate is full bodied with medium to mostly full bodied, but ripe tannins. Light on its feet but fully concentrated this is a beaute! #bevancellars #awesomecabernet #napa2010 — 13 years ago

Tasting notes: Very, very concentrated, with a formidable core of black currant and blackberry fruit. Bone dry but with that subtle impression of sweetness that comes from ripe Cabernet. Dried mushroom tones contribute an appetizing, savory component and there’s also a trace of black licorice. The tannins are fine-grained and supple, with an impression of chewiness fleshing out the aftertaste. The vivid flavors of the finish suggest a terrific future. Open in 2013. — 12 years ago
