Wow. This was a truly profound wine. How such lightness and great depth can exist hand in hand is a real conundrum. A beautiful nose of honeyed spring flowers along the Loire - as long as sin and refreshing as a cold bath in a still river at dusk. If that sounds silly it’s probably due to the effects of this bottle... — 7 years ago
I like the variety that Red Heifer offers. The dry side is so smooth and we really enjoyed Red Heifer Red and Cabernet Savignon was very smooth, call it the altutude, maybe the soil...the white blend not too sweet and is a great summertime wine on a very hot day. The views are well worth the drive...even though we came at the edge of dusk. — 8 years ago
Dryness with not too much acid...light fruit...imbibed ice cold amid a smoldering July dusk. — 9 years ago

Oh my lord. Perfection ! We brought this back from Paris on our honeymoon back in 1996. Paris-London-Milwaukee-Portland. Full of bell pepper, earthy dusk, leather and dark red rose. So good it opened over the hour we savored it. Thank you for such a great wine inspires me. — 6 years ago
This is a delightful wine with notes of vanilla and soft stone fruit. This reminds me of a time when Josh and I were on vacation at the Beach. The breeze settled around dusk as we chuckled over times passed, enjoying the Sun setting over the Plastic Ocean. Later that evening a portal to Tentacle Planet opened up and we were attacked by giant Octopod monsters. But I digress, this wine is quite nice. — 7 years ago
Buttery, waxy and candied Meyer lemon, kumquat, and honeysuckle. Late afternoon/early dusk on a spring day. Keep enjoying this superb vino while enjoying the last rays of sun. Still warm but almost time to grab your windbreaker, start an outdoor fire and turn on the grill. — 8 years ago

Beautiful notes of green apple, crisp and light. Perfect in Montenegro over-looking the Adriatic before dusk — 9 years ago

Peach pit. Ripe pear on the nose. White clean. Astringent then round. Subtle. Delicate. Hints of stone fruit. Lemon zested. Springtime at dusk. Fireflies. Yet not piccolo nor fairies. Contemplating contentment. My reality is an over warm autumn Sunday evening with chicken in the oven and my excellent dog by my side. Content. So a toast. — 7 years ago

Covid-19 wine #2: virtually shared with home boy at dusk. Portuguese Baga, give it air as has a delicate but Nebbiolo-ish shade. 12.5%, Skurnik importer. I’m enjoying Portugal now. Plus my MD/ epidemiologist neighbor listened to my lungs and gave me a clean bill of health. Now to work and help keep our patients healthy in pandemic anxiety. — 6 years ago
