these 2012s are still in the market and worth tracking down. my previous reviews showed them lacking. now vibrant, mineral-driven Pinot fruit is showing. nice wine for the money. — 8 years ago
One of my favourite wines for sure — 8 years ago
One day I'm going to qualify in my mind how Laibel is different than producers from other, more exalted Riesling regions. For now, the best I can do is to say that the Klingelberger is to a dry wine from the Wonnegau as a great and classic Chablis is to a wine from Puligny or Chassagne. It's really a quiet sort of excellence and a subtle beauty. — 9 years ago
Fruity, fresh, a bit sauer, very aromatic, peach, sweet, it reminds me tk@something i cannot describe (Hannah), we would drink this wine in the summer, watching the sunset in a warm place, sparkling. Very recommended!! — 3 years ago
Simply likeable St. Laurent varietal from Pfalz. Straight forward juice! — 6 years ago
High acidity and fruit-driven; light body. Great with food — 7 years ago
Quite strong for Kabinett, but hey, it's no Mosel...😀 — 9 years ago
This is white one. Perfectly balanced with slight sweetened aftertones. Hot day afternoon easy companion. — 9 years ago
Relativ simple Kabinett. Sipping this at the Alte Wache in Freiburg. Nice everyday Riesling. Tart, not to acidic apple 🍎 more red than green. Meyer 🍋. Aromatic, dry yet quite fruit driven. Obviously bigger than Mosel Rieslings this is after all BADEN. Not a must have. — 3 years ago

A genius Klingelberger. What a nose. So floral. Flower shop levels. Little shop of insane dry Riesling. Gorgeous Mosel like fruit. Smells ripe and sweet but also bone dry. Green apples. Pear. Apricot. So vivid and detailed. Just wonderful. Lime blossom, sweet lime. Endless aromas. Fresh field level 10. But also rock quarry. Staggering young Klingelberger aromas. Palate is epic like a Norwegian Viking documentary epic. Dense, structured, deep man is this deep with just stunning purity and freshness. So vivid and so detailed. This is god level balance. So long. Never ends. The purity of this wine is just incredible. Amazing finesse and elegance and screamingly mineral and very very complex on the finish. This is a staggering young Klingelberger. 9.7. Yup. Just genius. Amazing concentration and depth. Really I can’t get over how good this is. — 5 years ago
Phadia Freiburg Schloss Rheinach — 8 years ago
Still a bit of fruit sweetness and maybe a touch of residual for a Troken. Nice acid to back it up though. — 9 years ago
Thoroughly enjoyed this wine. — 9 years ago
Ely Cohn
Like a soapy tropical little German Pils from Scheurebe. Grapefruit scented mosaic hops and dank marijuana crystals. Hints of mango and papaya floating in the periphery. A body with some girth and buttercream to yang the ying of acid you couldn't complain about not even for a second. — 3 years ago
