Very good flavour. — 10 years ago
Strong apricot and peach aroma with acidic with a slightly barny acidic taste. Loved it although only great for a glass or two due to strong flavor. — 10 years ago

Really enjoyed this- needed a gentle decant, due to quite a bit of sediment, but I was rewarded with dusty leather, sautéed mushrooms, rich earthiness, and a touch of bramble. As it opened, I got a bit more ripe plum, dried dark cherry and some cedar. The low alcohol (13.3%) and noticeable acid made this well integrated wine, a great food wine. I had it with sautéed shallots, green beans, and a filet in brandy peppercorn cream sauce. Very enjoyable! — 9 years ago
Very rich tasting wine for summer - best enjoyed with some BBQ. Reminds me of Argentinian wines. Dark berry aroma. Cherry, dark berry taste with some oak finish. — 10 years ago
Dark fruits, some sweetness balanced by soft tannins. Delicious on its own or with food!! — 10 years ago
Barbaresco albeisa 2010
This Nebbiolo has a very light smokey aroma, with bright red current, cherry jolly rancher candy, porcini mushroom and black licorice.
Firm tannins and really nice acidity.
Could use another 5 year in the bottle.

Bordeaux wine dinner; 6/18/15: Pichon Lalande 1990 - Lighter color than others, I think passing its prime. A little dry on the finish but perfectly nice still. Gruaud Larose 1989 - Very classic nose and palate of cedar and pine notes. Most silky palate of the bunch. Two at the table thought it was wine of the night. Not as much to my taste but very much classy Gruaud. Cos 1986 - Funky barnyard nose. Deep palate with still strong tannin, but plenty of fruit coming through. Liked it but there was some brett there that to me, hurt. Lynch Bages 1985 - For me, the wine of the night, largely due to the truly stunning nose. A tad dry on the palate but still long finish of dark fruit. — 10 years ago
Another terrific beer from Jolly Pumpkin. Definitely improves with some time in the glass; much better on tap at the brewpub in Ann Arbor. Doesn't have the depth of the La Roja (which is by far my favorite JP), but still a great beer. — 10 years ago

Much better than this year's one, which probably just needs aging. Lots of esters, glue, and deliciousness — 9 years ago
