Earthy nose, silky on the palate, cigarette ash into firm balanced tannins on the finish. Drinks like it had many years of age-ability — 7 years ago
This drinks bold, can be paired with food or without. So damn good. Another bottle please. — 7 years ago
Ruby violet color. Blackberry, cassis, plum, cedar, and hints of green pepper on the nose. Although there is ripe, supple New World fruit on the palate, it drinks a bit like an Old World Bordeaux. Made from Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. — 8 years ago
Wow - splendid with Xmas beef tenderloin. Rich berry/dark cherry and fresh cut leather on nose. Drinks very smooth with surprisingly light tannins for 10 y/o red wine, predominantly can franc — 8 years ago
Undeniable finesse and potential. Drinks like St. Estephe but far less abrasive tannins. — 9 years ago
One of, if not THE best cab made in the US of A. This vintage is a little young but drinks beautifully. I would love to find a wine that rivals Dunn. — 9 years ago
This wine is incredibly good, great price, drinks well with red meat. — 10 years ago
Great drinks beautifully — 10 years ago
Great Georgian toast is to your neighbor - he is the most important, especially if you moved into new place.
Here are neighbors from one river banks, but different countries. Sogevinus Fine Wines & Bodegas Emilio Moro - made this opulent, rich and silky wine. Elegant fruit, wrapped into noble oak, great wine -with each sip I can contemplate about toasts wisdom - vostok delo tonkoe.
Maybe missing a bit of length, but I forgive them, the balance is perfect. Don't expect claws, this is tuxedo dress code. — 10 years ago
Approachable.
Lemon, lime notes w/ mineralic crushed stones notes.
Friendly acid levels
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lime, green and yellow apples in its characteristics blends w/ toasted pain. No distinctive oakyness.
Drinks well, but could age for another 10+ years. Try again in 5. Pair w/ tuna sashimi, gremolata and pickled apples. — 7 years ago
Val drinks often. Fun label and well rounded, very drinkable mixed well with our holiday, game playing atmosphere. Others were drinking single malt. — 7 years ago
1978 drinks almost like a sherry. — 8 years ago
Drinks beautiful, like a Lafite — 8 years ago
Good, really drinks like a left bank Bordeaux. Loads of tiertary characters coming up but stilll plenty of that pyrrazine cab character. Surprising since 97" was a ripe vintage. — 8 years ago
Maturing well and softer tannins for a cab sav than other Serge Hochar wines. Drinks well now. — 9 years ago
Drinks great right now. Will age beautifully. — 10 years ago
My mom never drinks the wine she gets as gifts, lucky me. Crushed green apple, a wisp of citrus, puff pastry dough and fennel seed. Fantastic stuff, could drink two. — 10 years ago
Clean and light. Drinks at The Blvd — 11 years ago
Needs a decanter, but drinks very well with a full body taste. Excellent with a strong main meal. — 7 years ago
Young nice wine. Nose little fruit - stone red and little fresh leather - drinks red cherry- lite — 8 years ago
I have suffered through a number of dull uninspiring bottles from this case but thankfully this wasn't one of them. Really delicious perfectly mature claret which drinks beautifully now. — 9 years ago
For centuries now, the luscious, bright, all-encompassing delight of Champagne has been used to toast happy occasions. Often times a decent bubbly does the trick, but other times, something grander deserves to be poured.
Dom Pérignon (named after the monk who put Champagne on the map), a 2000 vintage. It's the kind of Champs one drinks upon making the decision that wine is not just a hobby, not just a passion, but a career. — 9 years ago
Ocean spray, crushed sea shell, beautiful minerality, drinks like a Chablis...elegant — 10 years ago
I read on Delectable that this Pinot is a Cab lover's Pinot and she was right. I usually pass on Pinot because a good one is so hard for me to find. But this one is really, really good. I've had the Belle Glos from Meiomi, which I've liked as well, but this is equally as good. Great spice along with the fruit. Found this on sale on Cape Cod for $17 - a bargain for wine that drinks like this. — 10 years ago
Oh so good. $39. Fruit forward and drinks like cab, better than most cabs. — 11 years ago
Needs to breathe a bit at first, but drinks well. Tastes more expensive than it is. Good red! — 12 years ago
Austin Hohnke
Drinks like aged Rioja with a slightly more meaty palate. Gritty tannin with mature notes of licorice and leather. Cool wine. — 6 years ago
