We had the pleasure of opening the 2021 Hermann J. Wiemer.
On the nose there was nice strawberry, cranberry, raspberry, herbaceous notes and green bell pepper.
On the palate there was good strawberry, raspberry, red plum, green bell pepper, a bit of oak and crushed gravel.
This is a medium bodied wine with light velvety mouthfeel medium to medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine tannins that leaves with a medium to medium + red fruit gravel dust finish. Well it looks as though spring can't make up her mind. This weekend looks to be a bit on the cooler side so lets get out and enjoy ourselves. Please stay safe and healthy. Our go to house white. Great acidity, stone fruit, tropical melon, hint of honey with good minerality. — 7 years ago
GLORIOUS!!!! Damn I wish I bought more of this! Honeyed, mineral complexity that alone blew me away! Why honey and minerality belong together is beside me but damn it was delicious! Had a viscosity to it but stayed racy, bright and sleek at the same time. — 8 years ago
Amazing best white I've had for a long time... Drink it up! — 9 years ago
Had a case but it is going fast. This goes so well with spicy Indian and Thai. — 11 years ago

Rocking Yarra Pinot! Pure, plenty of bite, so elegant with bags of personality. Amazing — 9 years ago
2015 for dinner with grilled NY Steaks salt a pepper finish. Fruit on the wine complemented the fat full flavor of the beef but the harmonious touch of dried herbs and an earthiness of mouth feel came together. In a really big sensation of married flavors to hand you the real deal. Beautiful Cabernet. Great wine and flavor combination to remember. Excellent. No rush to dink this wine it has years. — 4 years ago
Had it with fish a l’indienne (perla Meyers) a curry dish. Went together very well. — 6 years ago
Aroma-smells like heartburn, but it surprisingly was light and juicy. Very tasty — 8 years ago
Bought a magnum. Tons of fun. Not the most complex considering it's coming from some of the best growing sites but still damn delicious. — 9 years ago

Lovely. I’m sipping the 2020 and it is flavorful with ripe Cherry a beautiful ruby color & low acid. This is a very pleasing Pinot Noir that I enjoyed with & without food. — 5 months ago
