Surprisingly, I kinda liked this despite my aversion to overly-hopped beers. The nose is a straight up hop-bomb - floral, citrusy, piney. The palate's also full-on, with heaps of hoppy bitterness, but balanced by malty sweetness and tropical fruit notes (passionfruit and mango for me). Finishes crisp and earthy. Not bad, but not my kind of beer (not an IPA fan basically). — 5 years ago
Okay - fine. It’s a good, probably great wine. Overpriced? Yes. Opus is filled with pretentious douchbags? Double yes. But this is a well-made wine bridging a gap between Napa and Boudreaux. Dusty nose with menthol, earl grey tea, tobacco, flowers, cassis, and creamy dark fruits. It has a really nice velvety finish. — 6 years ago
Deep red ruby.. heavy bodied, low acidity, elegant tannins. Opens up to notes of blackcurrant, cinnamon, leather. Very pleasant to drink! — 9 months ago
Wow and amazing.. — a year ago
Delicious. Rich caramel and honey. Smooth. Matured in American and European oak. Asks seasoned with sherry from Jerez. — 4 years ago
Had to get it again to share. So good for how inexpensive it is — 6 years ago
Deep red. Very wine tasting, no fruit — 5 months ago
You won’t find the quality of this wine under 10.00. But for the few bucks more, it’s absolutely delectable ! I love the bourbon hints with fruity notes, and a toasty oak finish! — 5 months ago
I tasted the 1982 Lynch-Bages twice within a month, both at a private dinner in London and at the château, from bottle and double-magnum on separate occasions. Both vindicate an exceptionally fine 1982, perhaps a bit overlooked in a vintage full of stars. Curiously, the bottle in Bordeaux does not fully deliver the mesmerizing freshness and energy compared to the bottle in London: pencil-lead-tinged black fruit intermixed with clove and freshly-rolled tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, perhaps just a little austere compared to its peers. Yet, indeed, the bottle in London exudes class and composure with a detailed, mineral-driven vintage belying that year's unseasonably warm period. Superb. Tasted both in London at a private dinner and at the château. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2023) — 10 months ago

Malty with just the right amount of sweetness. Thicker than I usually like, but not overpowering. Bavaria! — 6 years ago
Had this a few times now. Was a steal at $20. Perfect Tuesday night guzzler 😂 — 7 years ago

Bought at Pine Orchard 7/23, $12. Was expecting a richer Shiraz with the whiskey barrel aging. Just a typical Australian Shiraz, no different. — 4 months ago
