Pretty much exactly what you’d guess an Italian Gamay would taste like. Plus Gros’ gotta stick together. — 4 years ago

I’m not sure where my previous note went.
Just when you thought you knew Italy, up pops this might as well be SwissFrench alpine darling from the Vallée D’Aoste.
Blanc de Morgex et de la salle. The town/village of Morgex lies just below Mt. Blanc. The Prié Blanc vines thrive in soil that has not known phylloxera.
Stones, herbs, and lemons all wrapped up in a rather electric pkg. I think drink young. Cold, the nose doesn’t have much to say past stone fruit, maybe rainier cherries.,But the palate is pow! Lemons, herbs, mineral, high acid and refreshing. With fried Branzino, perfect!
Always a sucker for high altitude Italian.

With time/air, both the nose and palate grow exponentially. Delightful and viscous. — 3 years ago
Honeydew melon, apricot, mandarin orange, pear, hay, subtle white flowers. Having never tasted Petite Arvine, this was fuller, richer and lower acid than I was anticipating for an “alpine white”. Almost caramel apple like on the palate. I see some similar characteristics with Savoie Altesse. Interesting. — 6 years ago
Spending time with one of my fave grapes (Gamay) & (underrated) IT regions, Valle d’Aosta. Have always been a fan of Grosjean's lil Gamay--jam packed full of juicy strwbry, rspbry, black licorice, blk pepper & rosemary ❤️❤️#certifiablydelish — 7 years ago
Минеральное и свежее. Приятный аромат галечника, минералов, немного цитрусов и белого перца.
Пикантный и свежий вкус, хорошая кислотность и приятное, освежающее послевкусие. — 8 years ago

Starts out bitter, but opens up right after. — 2 years ago
Really showcases that lovely light, bright alpine wine quality with floral notes, melon and minerals. Lively palate with high pitched acidity that works with citrus and mineral flavors. — 7 years ago
