Showing very well out of the gate. Lots of exploding fruits like black cherry but still showing secondary flavors of savory spices and organic earth. Showing nice acid and a silky finish. — 11 years ago
Wonderful wine- concentrated blend of fruit, spicy. Goes well with red velvet cake. Happy Valentine's Day — 11 years ago
Bottles in 2011 this has a very interesting coconut flakes, persimmon, apricots in syrup, stem ginger, burnt orange marmalade, iodine. In the mouth this is very balanced with some sweet stone & tropical fruit, good acidity and even rather light until the finish kicks in and with it plenty of alcoholic weight. Grilled lemons and lemon oil mingle with a lovely nuttiness — 11 years ago

Another rare Douro Beauty, this is harder to find than most cult wines and unicorns! Beautifully expressive of place, with more red fruits and a little more opulence than the Rio. An exceptional wine and on my list of must finds. — 10 years ago
