Great Mexican wine from Baja California!!! — 4 years ago
Prune flavors, but dry and round. Spicy/woody on the finish. Unassuming but complexly flavored. Deserves its own attention — don’t smother with food — 6 years ago
medium lemon yellow with watery rim; grapefruit, lime, honeydew melon; lime, slightly saline, finishes with a bit of phenolic bitterness; light bodied, medium+ acidity, 12.5% ABV — 7 years ago
Another last of its kind wine as the San Mateo moved to Alesia label after this vintage. This young blend is really singing right now with bright red fruit and cedar spice and well balanced acidity. A candidate for short term aging, but the freshness of the fruit really shines now. — 7 years ago
Nice to taste a bottle before it was famous. — 8 years ago

Stewed and baked fruit, charred wood, vanilla on the finish. Bordering on overripe and the oaks a bit much for my taste, but the acid/tannin structure keeps this enjoyable. — 4 years ago
tropical + reminds me of flowers — 7 years ago
Earthy minerals and apricot. Lemon curd in the finish. A hint of marzipan. Lovely wine, one of the best Italian white I had actually. Love the artwork. — 7 years ago

Singed wood, dried tobacco, bitter almond, this has a lot to give. — 7 years ago
@Benjamin Keator had his hosting at the CC tonight and it was absolutely incredible. What a night of gorgeous wines! All wines are guessed blind.
This dessert wine is about the same age as my Dad. When you can associate a wine/vintage personally, it really opens your eyes to how wine can hold. This is undoubtedly Pedro Ximenez, which I guessed. It reminds me of a non-vintage port with a balsamic mix to it. Tons of black licorice, old brown sugar, and the aforementioned balsamic vinaigrette note. Incredible for the age. — 8 years ago
