Tasted blind. Tawny color, looks younger than the 78 Giacosa next to it. Almost opaque. Notes of tart cherries, rhubarb, black fruit and earth. Silky in the mouth. Seems young still. The Monfortino is more rich and round than the Giacosa but the Giacosa is more complex and intriguing. A memorable mano y mano battle, thanks Murray! — 8 years ago
Freshness with earthy minerality . Great accompaniment to pasta — 9 years ago
From the wine list at EMP bought by a new friend at the table next to us to go mano a mano against the 88 La Turque I shared. Slightly darker red and more pure in color. Amazing aroma that is more linear than the animalistic La La but in the same league. Hit its stride right out of the pop and pour gate. Lovely perfume with a more briary nose but speaks Cote Rotie from the get go. Perfectly integrated fruit and structure. Best Jamet I've had. Thanks to Danny for this treat. — 9 years ago

Много ягод, прованские травы, кислое мясо, немного бочки, сливки, среднетелое, чуть жестковатые танины, долгое и красивое вишневое послевкусие. Очень хорошо. — 7 years ago

Inexpensive and pleasant red. Ruby color and notes of sour cherries. Highly acid body with undeveloped tannins hat need a few more years in the bottle. A pleasant match for rich and fatty meats. — 8 years ago
2016 vintage. Distinctive and very floral. White peach, rose water, raspberry, guava, iris, lemon curd, strawberry bubblegum. Palate seems almost manic and all over the place, but in a less obnoxious way. 75 Primitivo 25 Aleatico. — 9 years ago
V14. Best decanted 30-45 minutes. Smokey cedar nose. Big blackberry , tar , pepper, all spice. Round, slightly bitter and green finish. All good, comes together nicely and not over powering. Good with rich, roasted foods , and charcuterie..

Really cool wine. Fuller than might be expected for Arneis (but then it is CA) with ripe stone fruits, green apple and citrus intermingling and cut with a hint of salinity at the finish. This definitely opens up w a bit of time and air and flavors weave together. — 10 years ago
Full of fruit like a summer pudding. Black, red and straw all the berries are here. — 10 years ago

Boutique winery out of Lujan de Cuyo. QPR is outstanding. Delivering way above it's price point. Would be fantastic paired with braised short ribs with a spicy basil sauce. — 6 years ago
