Lovely young Burgundy from a favorite producer. This is more structured than the Meo Fixin 1er Cru we tried, and is less voluptuous at first, but time will really help this wine... after just one hour, this Volnay opened up with bright cherry and tea leaf notes. Plenty of acidity makes this a great food wine. Clean & pure with a laser focus, as with many Meo-Camuzet offerings. Delicious. — 6 years ago
We drunk three Vougeot over the last two days. A 2014 chateau de la tour, a 2009 le moine and now a 2008! Meo Camuzet.. it only shows how tricky this cuvée is. Too big, too uneven, too many producers, always expensive. This is right in the middle, same fruit as the 2014, same roundness as the 2009. This is an outstanding Vougeot, fresh, fwd fruit and great complexity. — 6 years ago

Rewarding. At an excellent spot now. Very mellow but with a firm, bold streak to it. Beautiful. — 7 years ago
Light ruby in color. On the nose, smells of mellowed strawberry and raspberry, with just a hint of pencil shavings and some toasted oak. The light color belies the intensity of the wine. When it touches the palate, the taste of red fruits come to the fore. The tanins are very fine. Sure enough, the minerality comes through after the taste of fruit fades, and it lingers on for about half a minute. This 2012 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras from Meo-Camuzet has the right balance between intensity and elegance. Very enjoyable to drink now. — 7 years ago
Amazing. Big, bold.. The best food wine I've ever had. Awesome. — 8 years ago

Killer deal for this great producer — 10 years ago
2010. Intense ruby/strawberry color. Underbrush, lightly grilled meats, stems, deep florals. Unctuous and juicy with decent acidic balance leaning to juicy. A baby still revealing several elements already. — 10 years ago
Nose of Christmas spices...made in a big style. — 11 years ago
Great nose and full body. Probably not worth the cost, but still pretty lovely — 6 years ago

The 2015 is drinking better after some additional time in bottle. Since I recently opened some Meo-Camuzet Burgundies, I wanted to compare while they were fresh in my mind. This wine reminds me of a New World version of Meo’s village Nuit-St-George. It’s slightly riper in some ways, simpler in structure, and doesn’t have much of that Old World tangy/sour/mineral finish. Cost is sorta close (Meo a little more in most markets), so for me the Meo wins by a SLIGHT margin, but this is oh-so-close. The N-J will likely be preferred by most American palettes. — 6 years ago
Beautiful medium dark rubi robe. Delicate nose of crushed flowers, red berries and spices. Fresh and balanced mouth between the very polished tannins, the rose fanee and the spices. Long and very satisfying, with the easy accessibleness of the vintage but will last long. Highly recommended. — 6 years ago
No detailed notes as we were at dinner with friends. Three Somm’s present for dinner and all thought this was wine of the night. I was one of them.
I believe their 15 is even better than their fantastic 2010.
If you are not familiar with this producer & terroir, I highly recommend you do. It remains under most consumers radar. I should probably stay silent on it as it will only drive up demand and price. But, good wine is meant to be shared with people who know how to appreciate it. This is around $55 on pre-arrival and $70ish if not bought on pre-arrival.
Olivier Lamy left the family Domaine to learn from other producers before returning to his family Domaine. He made Méo-Camuzet for few years just before his return.
The body was thick and slightly waxy. Nice green apple, pineapple, lime, honeysuckle, fruit blossoms with excellent round acidity, texture, elegant and well polished finish.
Recommend you slightly over chill it and decant it for an hour if you drink it this young. After it hour, it really blossoms.

Burnt cherry on the nose, notes of vanilla and licorice, hints of pear on the finish. 2nd bottle that I'm enjoying in the spate of 6 months - drinking beautifully with plenty of life on offer. — 9 years ago
