Nose is black cherry, plum, thyme, lavender, black pepper, and a touch of smoke. Pretty complex and inviting.
Palate opens with those black cherry/kirsch notes and then transitions to dried green herbs and medium acidity. Tannins are smooth and lend just enough dryness to keep it balanced. Good length with lingering plum skin.
Great little Rhone red with delicious approachable fruit and some nice spice subtlety. Where others at this price point (€11!) are austere or overly simple, this one delivers on deliciousness and complexity. The overall structure makes it quite drinkable too. — 7 years ago

This is gorgeous. Archetypal Vacqueyras. Beautiful black pepper and rock in the side of the tongue. Distinct black cherry mid palate. Tannin still kicking, sticking to my teeth. — 9 years ago
I love Viognier. This was delicious. That said i don't think you need to spend $50 for Viognier to get blown away. Awesome? Yes. QPR? No. — 9 years ago

#SommCon - Why don’t I drink Côtes du Rhône blanc more often? Almond dust, juicy pear, yellow apple skin, beeswax. A great way to start the day. — 7 years ago
