Oldschool Classic at it’s best!
Surprisingly fresh in the nose with black currant leaf, a pleasant greenness, pencil shavings and a plethora of tertiary aromas.
On the palate this is rather light bodied with still quite youthful grippy tannins, juicy acidity and great length.
This is poised, has presence and really good length.

So light ! enjoyed on thanksgiving had strong intensely high acid was so fresh and weightless married well with all the fixings — a year ago

Tasted blind while knowing the list of wines. Guessed the wine. And I found it beautiful and refreshing, especially in contrast with the previous atrocity. A charming bouquet of cherry, white pepper, mushrooms, dill and pickled tomato. Relatively funky, fresh and elevated. Not simple, rather a challenge, but a pleasant one.

closed, so elegant and refined. 13% alcohol. wonderful purity and freshness. so round and deep. but my goodness this was closed. some purple fruits and so so finesse driven. now with air and huge fruit and darker fruits. insane purity now. great freshness. killer length. great energy and depth. — 10 months ago

2012, Clos Des Vignes Du Maynes, Cuvée 910, Macon-Cruzille, field blend of Gamay, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Very light with fresh red fruit balanced by spice and herbal undertones. This is one of my favorites, good as an apertif and pairs well with a variety of dishes. — 10 years ago
