I’m no rosé fanatic but this fruity blend of Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Cabernet Sauvignon(!) is super tasty. — 5 years ago
This was outstanding. Excellent value. Contender for best sb I’ve tastes along with Jolivet and Blank Canvas. So well balanced. Flinty, mineral character perfectly balanced with peach and kiwi fruit. Zippy zesty lemon giving spine. With Racquel in HK — 6 years ago
Very forward for a Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Tropical fruit with some minerality on the nose. Persistent but not overpowering acidity with enough body to match. Some residual sugar on the palette as well. — 7 years ago
Pascal Jolivet Pouilly-Fume "Nature" 2014. Sans soufre bottling. First vintage to USA. Great structure, acidity. Typical no SO2 flavors, although the jalapeños and mustard greens flavors are the most intriguing, which are richer than the more common pyrazine character. — 8 years ago
Flint, earth, aromatic. Tangerine and lemon. M+ acid, m- body. M+ finish. Crisp with lemon zest and saline. Fantastic! — 9 years ago
Star bright pale straw. Inviting nose of stony lime zest. Medium light palate yields lime (the fruit), lime (the mineral), and green apple peel supported by striking firm acidity from entry to moderate finish. Jolivet acquired this small (8 hectares) property in 2015 and the investment is definitely paying off. This is a premium Sancerre from a top producer that’s ready for shellfish, sushi, or soft cheeses (I’m having Professor’s Brie and two others). Drink now through 2025. — 4 years ago
This was fabulous. Up there with Jolivet and Chavignol. Green apple, white peaches, mixed with a creamy smoky note. On the palate the wine is precise; clean grapefruit, white peach, wet rocks, and smoke. Perfectly integrated. Textbook Sancerre — 5 years ago
Crisp, nice minerality, smooth. — 6 years ago
Pretty sure this tastes just how my soul feels 😜 — 7 years ago

Château Climens’s Bérénice Lurton collaborated with Pascal Jolivet (best known for Sancerre wines) to produce a beautifully complex, dry Bordeaux Blanc made exclusively from the Semillon variety. This dry product is a shift from the famously sweet wines made by Château Climens in the Barsac region.
The wine is pale lemon. At first blush, the nose offers powerful citrus and orchard-fruit notes such as meyer lemon, orange peel, and green apple notes. Also delicate notes of white blossom and cherry blossom. On the palate, the wine comes alive with honeyed characters and orange blossom. It has richness and notes of croissant, cream, and brioche from aging 8 months on the lees. The finish is medium(+) and while this youthful wine is drinking well now, I believe it could age.
Château Climens, Asphodele, Bordeaux Blanc. Vintage 2018. ABV 13%.
@Delectable Wine - this wine is 100% Semillon. Cheers! — 4 years ago
Legit sb profile. Good balance between old and new world styles. $10.50 G — 7 years ago
This might be my favorite white wine I’ve ever had. Grassy, sophisticated, refreshing, flavorful as hell, and a little bit luxurious. Almost creamy, like a kusshi oyster. In fact, a bottle of this and a couple dozen of oysters would be 100% heavenly. — 7 years ago
Great Sauvignon Blanc. Acidity and fruit on the palate. Youthful. Yummy now but pacience will be a vertue. I'll drink in again in 10-15 years. — 8 years ago

Give it a day to breathe. For young vines, short maceration, and steel aging, this is deep, mouth-coating (and slightly reduced upon opening), but dialed in with some air. Great value, $23 from Flatiron — 4 years ago
