I don’t normally drink white wine, bit this one was surprisingly delicious. Crisp and light. — 3 months ago
Deep purple in color; plums, blueberries, and cigar box on the nose; high acidity; high tannins; tastes like blackberry jam, plum sauce, and graphite with a medium finish. Nellie likes it. I like it too. I'd like the fruit to hang out a little longer on the pallet, but it's very good. — 7 months ago
2016. Really great wine. A bit young and will be great in 5+ years. Earthy woodsy nose, medium body, some dark fruit with mineral. Decant for at least 1 hour. — 6 years ago
Straw to me medium gold out to a watery rim.. Tears are slow to form but med +
Nose is med intensity
Fresh yellow Apple pears, clean minerals, river rock.
Hints of possible new oak.
Soft on the palate creamy notes of sour cream and the apple notes hints of butter , some honey and almond notes as well, med + body med alc.. My first #grandcru #chablis — 7 years ago
Presented double-blind at Tasting Group. The wine pours a pretty ruby color with a transparent core and maybe some slight rim variation. Medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. No obvious signs of sediment. On the nose, developing with strawberries, raspberries, mushrooms, sous bois and soft baking spices. Delicate. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. Finish is medium+. Lovely and quite elegant. I called Bourgogne Rouge from a great producer but it was 2012 Raphet “Clos Vougeot”. Oooop. Drinking well now with some secondary characteristics just beginning to show. Drink through 2032.

The 2022 Sancerre is a tender, rounded wine with delicate pineapple, floral and pear aromas. It's gentle with a fine line of ripe acidity, providing gentle refreshment. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, July 2023) — 9 months ago
From a lieu dit surrounded by Gevrey. Definitely young but with a couple hour decant quite enjoyable and accessible. Tons of sweet cherry on the nose; aromatically really quite intense. Full on the palate, get more tannin than I was expecting, but very nicely balanced by a lot of acid. Enjoyed it with a roast chicken provencal but could have stood up to red meat too. Nice qpr at ~$30. Note this is not the “cuvee unique”, which apparently a 100% new oak bottling - this is the regular which is 85% old. — 4 years ago
