Le Clos des Loyères Maranges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2013

Sigh. I really wanted to like this but it was far too tannic to be really enjoyable. Ok but not what I was looking for. — 6 years ago

Le Chainey Santenay Chardonnay

An interesting nose of florals and cantaloupe provides little hint of a complex pallet of apple, sea spray, and light popcorn. The finish is lightly spiced and very lengthy. Overall, a nice chard that easily cut through summer burgers, while demanding appropriate attention to the pallet. Yum! — 9 years ago

Chorey-les-Beaune Les Bons Ores Pinot Noir

This 2011 is a pleasant surprise... with bottle age, some roasted white mushrooms, a metallic or flinty note (tiny bit of Brett?), some whiffs of a rustic cellar... all very slight, and mostly complementary to the tart cherry, raspberry, and almond flavors. Terrific for 2011. With a little air, even tastier. SommSelect Spring 2018. — 7 years ago
