Reddish color with red bricking on the rims. Mostly opaque. A little redder and denser than the 90 Dujac CdlR by its side. Its nose was powerful. Notes of cherry cola, rhubarb, soil and spice. Very masculine in style when compared to the Dujac. Hearty, intense, and long finish. Grew and grew in complexity with air. Amazing wine. — 8 years ago

1986 Chateau Margaux Bordeaux. BBQ at the house while B&M Sh were visiting. Last red wine we drank, after the '93 Dujac Chambolle Musigny and the '99 La Tache. Excellent. Tons of funky, earthy, mineral notes. — 9 years ago

Blinded as dujac. Strong! — 12 years ago
Special bottling by Dujac. Pretty wine and still a good amount of oak. Will revisit in 5 years. — 8 years ago
Took an hour to really show itself but when it did it was pretty special. — 9 years ago
Real good!! — 9 years ago
Not Brittan. A very limited bottling of Estate Pinot that was whole cluster fermented. Black fruit with lots of everything. Very Dujac like. Will live for 25 years. One of the very best OR Pinots ever. — 9 years ago

for the #Burgundy fiends interested, the consensus winner of this #Chambertin #bacchanal (#Dujac, #Rousseau, #Trapet, #Arlaud, #Roty, '05 & '09) was the only NON Grand Cru: red cherry, mint, delicate yet deeply flavorful '05 Armand Rousseau Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos St. Jacques - #Burgundy #DrinkLikeABillionaire — 9 years ago

1996 Case Basse Di Gianfranco Soldera Brunello. At Charcoal w McC. So different to drink this after the Dujac Chambolle Musigny. This was also tight at first, despite more than an hour of decanting. Vegetal, mineral, dirt- very earthy notes all around. Great w steak. — 9 years ago
Not intense or strong; mysterious and beguiling. Like a familiar melody heard in the distance. — 10 years ago
This rivals the Dujac CDLR '90 for my red burg of 2012. — 13 years ago
