Sourdough, yeast, fresh strawberries and lemon zest. — 3 years ago
My COVID19 f.... the virus 🦠 mid week treat. Textbook. Anise first - tannins mostly resolved. A great wine no rusticity. Dried Raspberry mushrooms chanterelles - actually. A beautiful wine. After this drama is over I will have to stock up. It’s nice to drink alone but I am also sad I can not share some of these beauties. — 5 years ago
Nose and palate of yellow flowers and citrus. Notably fresh, compared to recent tired bottle. — 9 years ago
2011. Crisp green apple flavors predominate. Very fresh with good acidity. — 10 years ago
#AgedWineTuesday
Dark golden in color with a brownish hue.
Light nose and very dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing lemons, apples, spices, light over ripen citrus fruits, earth, light wood, herbs, light vegetables and white pepper.
Short finish with limes and bitter herbs.
This 28 year old is a little past its prime, but still drinkable and interesting.
I had higher expectations, but at this age, it really depends on the individual bottle. That said, I still enjoyed it.
Needed 30 minutes to open up properly.
Good by itself as a sipping wine.
100% Chardonnay grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

This is Beaujolais like you never tasted it before, I guess, decanted for 60 min, color deep red, nose deep dark berries, not the raspberries juice with banana notes, this is wine, needs time, after some hours it still kept the balance , awesome☄️☄️ — 4 years ago
Delicious fruit but missing the length and complexity of his better bottlings — 6 years ago
At #bardotbrasserie in #aria hotel and casino. Mistake with the steaks. Ended up with 4! Needed a greasy red for all that red meat!!!! — 10 years ago
Meant to rate it higher, darn good juice! — 10 years ago
Pale lemon with stone and citrus fruit aromas. On the palate crisp apple with lemons honey and flinty notes. This medium-body wine was smooth with a wet stone character with overall good balance. The wine finishes with pronounced mineral notes on a medium+ ending. Very Nice! — 8 months ago
Young, but only needs a few years. Elegant and excellent. — 8 months ago
2020 vintage. Premier cru and Monopole vineyard. Medium-heavy body. Some aged/golden flavors already present. Not the cheapest Beaune but this is banging and matches plenty of Meursault, Chassagne or Puligny in strict terms of dollars for the delivery. Can’t say I’m the biggest fan of large Burg houses but they occasionally surprise you. This is one of those said occasions. Not to be missed for the concentration and presentation. 8.7.24. — 9 months ago

Bandol: pink or white.
It’s a slight culture shock as a moron gringo in the South of France when wines by the glass are identified not by producer or even by grape but simply by place. Bandol didn’t mean much to me as a place, I drove through it en route to Toulon from Marseille but that was about it. Probably it was the fact that it was a vague homonym for bandit drew me to it — which is admittedly kind of lame, but the wine seemed to deliver. Any more than the progeny of any other Mediterranean town would have? Je ne sais pas. But this wine right here is a phenomenal rosé.

This was a monster out of the gate and held its own. Really impressed. Shows age but not softness. Elegant, open, beeswaxy, beautiful — 10 years ago
