cranberry syrup, wild fruit jam (blackberry, blueberry, raspberry), cocoa, mocha, game, blood, salty, dirt, a lot of vanilla and toast, med + alcohol and acidity, red and tart on the palate. Blind. — 8 years ago
Best beer of 2015. Buy a mile. — 8 years ago
Interesting specimen. Unfiltered. There is a slight effervescence up front which adds a spicy textural note, but quickly disappears. The palate is sour, sour cherry which transitions to deeply funky, earthy flavors. Think dusty barnyard and damp leaves. The acidity is off balance from my perspective, a touch too tart. That said, I am becoming a fan of Lemasson's use of indigenous varietals and a funky, fun, earthy winemaking style. — 9 years ago
Tart, highly acidic & refreshing. Great porch pounder. — 9 years ago
Light, lifted tart cherry. Clean mineral and deep earth. Afterthoughts of spice with tugging structure. — 9 years ago
Tart cherries, underripe strawberries, crunchy, ripping acid, crazy length. Juicy and delicious. Gamay at its best. Sans Soufre! — 11 years ago
Tart, acidic, pears — 7 years ago
Patrick and Cece brought this. A Spanish red. None of the iky tannen taste I don't like about reds. Earthy. Tangy. Tart? Pretty good actually. — 7 years ago
Smooth and mellow. Fruity. — 9 years ago
Shocking. Really lovely. Passed the whole family test. Light berry, vegetal balance, tart but clean finish. — 9 years ago
What can you say, classic Reims crisp and tart. This NV is as consistent as they come. — 9 years ago
Tart, cherry, minerals. Wonderful!!! — 7 years ago
Tart strawberry red raspberry. Cocoa and hints of dirt. Left to breathe for about an hour, have some left to check in the next couple of days. — 8 years ago
Very interesting red blend. Complex body that's fruit-forward, slightly smoky and jammy. Hints of dark blackberry and tart cherry. — 9 years ago
Only my 2nd bottle of my favorite quaffing Rosato this year. It's a much anticipated pink Basque tradition; fizzy, tart, gorgeous that I prefer to savor as often as I can! Great w spicy food, most cheeses, or just sitting around a porch sipping. This carbonated frizzante just can't help but be festive!
Let the Ameztoi good times roll...oh p.s I shared my bottle w a neighbor while I watched Game 5 of NBA Finals, marveling at Steph's thrilling finale, a new wine introduction to them! What a game; what a delicious old & new friend to watch the hardwood treats...whew what a game! — 9 years ago
Minerals, tart cherry, and roses. — 9 years ago
Really light (but not tart!) and kind of the perfect thing to be sipping in San Francisco when you still feel like a red but it's 60 degrees outside. — 10 years ago

This was an exciting, complex, delish wine. Tart red fruit, great acidity, fine tannins and the perfect amount of forest floor/ herbal/ funk. Bet it would be amazing in a few years. But woops glad I didn't wait — 7 years ago
