Interesting specimen. Unfiltered. There is a slight effervescence up front which adds a spicy textural note, but quickly disappears. The palate is sour, sour cherry which transitions to deeply funky, earthy flavors. Think dusty barnyard and damp leaves. The acidity is off balance from my perspective, a touch too tart. That said, I am becoming a fan of Lemasson's use of indigenous varietals and a funky, fun, earthy winemaking style. — 10 years ago

Very pleasant nose full of red fruit and spice. Tart cranberry dominates with cherry, black tea leaves, and black pepper shining through. Palate shows elegance and earth.
