Smells like white pepper over a mixed berry jam! There is also a high floral note like walking through the D.C. Cherry Blossoms in bloom. I really dig the blueberries and spices on the palate. I got this for about $22. Almost half Mourvèdre with Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, and Counoise filling out the rest. — 9 years ago

Matt and I both loved this. We drank it in Washington, D.C. — 12 years ago
Appearance: Clear, pale/lemon with legs noticable. Nose: Clean w/med intensity aromas of grass and citrus fruit (grapefruit/lime). Developed (2012 consumed in 2014). Palate: off dry with med(+) acidity and med body. 13.5% labled Med (+) Alcohol. Flavor intensity of med with the grass and citrus fruit (grapefruit/lime) carrying through from the nose. Med finish. A balanced wine - paid $19.99 in D.C. in Feb/2014. — 12 years ago
I'm a huge D.C. fan and the Microclimate series' always blow me away. Blackish purple in the glass with a massive nose of funk and wet slate. The palate is super intense- blackberry reduction and minerals. Really bright acid. Not sure how, but moderate tannins are still around. Killer! — 9 years ago

Yes. So good. Last wine of the d.c. #metaphysicallecturetour — 13 years ago
Probably too young to pop, but the tightness will keep me from chugging the bottle in one sitting! Cherry jolly ranchers have been wrapped and fried in fava beans. (In other words it reminds me of an amazing fried Halibut dish at a D.C. omakase restaurant that was also wrapped in fava beans). But, no, there's nothing fishy about this. And yes, funky wines deserve a funky tasting note. Cheers! 🍷 — 9 years ago
