What can I say? I am a sucker for CDP. Especially when the wine has more than just Grenache/Syrah.
When I was last in this region, talking to farmers, they were pulling up all the lovely 13 by law slotted varietals, for just two. Because they tolerated heat more.
Caramel nose,
That aged wine smell. Weighty, and delicious. Cedar wrapped Blackberry, a bite of a while pomegranate, lithe, fruit, skin and seed.
A wonderful mouth filling experience, with some lip smacking tannic overtures.
Yum.

Delicious easy drinking but still complex wine. Nice long finish. — 9 years ago
Trying at the Wine Vault. Subtle aromas of cherry, slightly funky. Rich fruit and lots of depth to taste. Loved by the big reds group I’m with. — 2 years ago
Raspberry and cherry upfront with a spicy finish. Balanced tannins and acidity. Easy drinking for a bigger red. — 5 years ago
Spot-on, classic, perfectly delineated Saint Joseph. This is the elegant and pretty side of Syrah. Flowing waves of violets and black pepper lift effortlessly out of the glass with bright red fruits. Mid palate is silk and nearly weightless with fine tannins. Low alcohol and neutral oak profile allow for a very pure expression. Hints of game on the finish with a lingering minerality and a fresh, spicy peppercorn character that would be lovely with a variety of meats and herbs. Beautiful wine that I look forward to revisiting over the next 2-3 years. — 6 years ago
Nice and peppery, bold without overpowering steak, red meat, etc — 7 years ago
A mouthful of pure red fruits — 7 years ago
Light and clean. Summer wine with light foods. Consistent with other wines from Provence that we've been having. — 9 years ago
Slight bubbly crisp and bright. Bouquet of peaches and melons. Slightly like kiwi up front with a taste of very light champagne with a quick fast mineral finish. — 2 years ago
Clean, ezpressive fruit. Merlot adopts a darker, riper, character. Well handled oak. — 5 years ago
A perfect sushi wine. $28 as a SommSelect choice. 2nd time around. Can’t be beat for the price. Decant 30 minutes. — 6 years ago
#champagne #Marguet #Grancru #Elements11 Nonostante l'abbinamento "ideale" fosse il pesce, noi lo abbiamo bevuto a tutto pasto rigorosamente tutto carne. Strepitoso! Vellutato e al tempo stesso sgrassava meglio del Chante Claire 😁! Profumi di agrumi e frutta candita. La prossima volta lo proverò col pesce, magari sarà ancora meglio. — 7 years ago
Peppery, green peppers, cloves, smooth, absolutely yums. — 7 years ago

Earthy, masculine, but also has fruit. And, in case you were looking for a pairing, it goes with hot dogs. — 2 years ago
