The 2015 Volnay Taillepieds 1er Cru shows a bit of reduction on the nose, eventually clearing to offer undergrowth and bay leaf infused red fruit. The palate is underpinned by firm tannin, impressive depth. Quite a complex and grippy Volnay with superb length. Pascal Roblet has really got a handle on this Volnay. I can see this ageing with style and panache. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2018)

Delicious oaky Chardonnay from Burgundy. Full bodied with butter to start and a subtle fruity acidic finish. Reasonable price as well!! 😊 — 5 years ago

Reminds me why I fell in love with Burgundy. Acid, fruit, kiss of oak....makes Colin a happy boy! — 7 years ago
Don't like many chards but man this one is solid — 10 years ago
One of those white Burgundies that makes you question the logic of the crowd. Why is no one drinking Monnot? It's imported by the same guy who brings in Jamet. Powerful, intense, pure and showing plenty of pedigree, potential, and freshness tonight. — 11 years ago
Bob and Jason.......had this before but beauty tonight. — 12 years ago
Steely, tropical, wonderful acid. — 6 years ago
Medium plus acidity that lasted for the whole bottle and did not open up as I would have hoped. a lot of ripe and tart red fruits, along with some herbaceous notes. I think this may need to sit for a few more years to enjoy its best qualities. — 7 years ago
I have had this wine a few times and have always enjoyed it. Super value too. — 8 years ago
Very dry, dusty, leather, tobacco, tannins. — 8 years ago
A little hot and disjointed at first, but a little air and bloomed very nicely. Some grass, red fruits, velvety texture. Very nice for a village — 10 years ago

Les Folatieres is absolutely a magical vineyard. Energy of the site completely overtaking any wine in the glass. So great hard to put into words the amount of energy and ethereal structure is trapped in here. Thankful to have a few bottles 🙏🏼 — 5 years ago
