Los Pilares

La Dona's Sparkling Muscat

Love it. Super aromatic and tropical on the nose. Peaches, mango, and apricots. But none of that fruit comes through on the palate. More grapefruit, super minerally, lots of sediment and funk. Bone dry. — 7 years ago

Unique white coming from young woman winemaker in the Canary islands. I found this to be pleasantly #smokey but not over #oaked . Expresses the #volcanicsoils very well but light and sharp at the same time! Interesting find! #canaryislands — 8 years ago

Los Pilares

Grenache Carignan Blend 2013

Los Pilares San Diego County Red Blend 2013: Fresh. Natural. Extraordinary. Consisting of 50% Grenache & 50% Carignan, this was a light-bodied, extremely unique wine. Red fruits (cranberry & cherry). Plum. Earth. Short finish. For me, the wine was a bit thin on structure but very clean & natural tasting. This was my first San Diego County wine and it left me quite intrigued & impressed. Hoping to explore other San Diego wines in the near future. Cheers🍷 — 2 years ago

What a PITA to get your hands on, but damn if it isn't the best domestic Geuze out there. Funky, sour, citrus, crisp. So good. — 8 years ago
