Stony minerals define the mid-palate. The wine is light in the mouth, with easy tannins. This estate continued to turn out top notch wines that's are truly world-class. Vibrant pale yellow. Aromas of quince, crushed rocks, pear and a single citrus tone define the nose. On entry to the palate the wine is sweeter than expected, but this is likely a vintage condition, as sec can vary year by year. Delicious with cheese and a pretty good match to while wheat lasagne stuffed with ricotta, spinach and mushrooms in a red sauce. When one has the budget to splurge on a wine like this (all depends on how you define splurge) this is an absolute beauty. Tart fruits - crisp pear and apple - integrated with herbal flavors are a treat. Hard to describe all that's going on here, but the bottom line is this a fabulous wine. — 11 years ago
