Sure, oak is prominent here, but to me it’s more of a decoy for the lovely fresh stone fruit core and enhances the nuances of cantaloupe, lime, honeysuckle, and light citrus. Acidity is round yet firm, good enough to give the richly textured palate a lift.
I usually prefer more saline and mineral, but this is undeniably well made and delicious. And quite elegant. — 5 years ago

Haven’t had this in a while but it was a good go to cab for me at one point. I remember it being mid moderately bold and pleasantly integrated in relation to its age. At $20 this one is on par with a label such as Decoy. My recollection is this one is pretty bright and warm as opposed to that big cab backbone. So it’s more of an everyday selection. — 6 years ago
