A dark golden rose, fine bubbles, not as acid. Apple — 5 years ago
Buttered popcorn. Minerality. Apricot. Some mild Meyer lemon. Balance. Long finish. Lots of life left. — 7 years ago
Brighr, fruity. Wonderful. — 8 years ago
A very tasty champagne. Not a close friend of champagnes, but this one is very much one I like. — 9 years ago
Classy, creamy and full of happiness. A few more bottles left, all the way from Rome! — 11 years ago
Simply sublime. One the best champagnes we’ve ever had. Fitting bottle for Molly’s graduation celebration from the Paris College of Art as we Zoomed dinner together, each with a bottle. — 3 years ago
2nd oldest house in Champagne, next to Ruinart. In my opinion, stunning for the price being sub $40 - perfect touch of raspberry and strawberry cream, biscuit, and very present minerality. It has an air of ruinart rosé, still more of a baby but none the less a high quality production of Reims none the less. This family also owns and produced Tsarine, as well as De Venoge who resides in downtown Epernay, close to Möet & Chandon. — 6 years ago
Arguably the best Cordon Bleu champagne they make. This one has the weight I tend to enjoy of the Pinot Noir heavy Reim wines, and beautiful bisquity aromas, golden pears, creamy mouthfeel, fine bubbles, and drinks like a vintage champagne. Very complex and definitely for people who like the style of champagnes such as Veuve Cliqout. I would be absolutely happy to serve this to anyone. — 8 years ago
Excellent, refreshing champagne. — 9 years ago
Almost no bubbles. Nutty with bread and sherry. Really good tension and balance still. — 3 years ago
Champagne brut rosé — 5 years ago
I bought it for the label. — 7 years ago
From trip to France. Only bought one bottle. Worth getting more. About €24 for the bottle in France. — 8 years ago
De Venoge has one of my favorite and solid line ups from their N.V. up through their Louis XV line. This particular chardonnay based Cordon Bleu is unique and beautiful. Brut but not on the more bone dry side. On the nose is the lovely smell of unpasteurized honey with beeswax, spread on a freshly baked English muffin, with some lemon undertone, mousse, and fig preserves. Definitely one that even people who say they don't prefer brut champagne do enjoy! If I could drink a true champagne day to day in this price range, this would be one of a select few I would choose! — 8 years ago
Légèrement vineux très bon !!!! — 10 years ago

I don’t know this house. They make Cordon Bleu—brut, extra brut, rosé, also a higher level called Princes, and their grand marque is Louis XV, also making a high end Vinotèque from older stock. House was founded in 1837 in Epernay. This is the only one I’ve had, a Cordon Bleu brut. And w 20 years on it, it’s pretty good juice. — 2 years ago
