Delicious for $12 — 5 years ago
Final wine for Danube cruise. Still surprisingly youthful and fresh tasting considering the vintage and age. Dark fruits tobacco earth and firm texture and good length. Good value for Americans on a French River cruise boat in Austria. — 6 years ago
Imagine yourself drifting down the Danube River in the lower Austrian Wine region on a warm summer afternoon sipping a slightly chilled easy red wine and you will get a sense of what this wine is about. From its delightful aromatics of soft red fruits and wet stone to its clean acidity this light bodied Austrian offers just plain goodness on a cool crisp Canadian night. Cheers 🍷 — 8 years ago
This is exactly what a good white wine is for me. I drank this by the Danube amongst the vine covered hills of the Wachau. Perfection — 9 years ago

Purchased at the winery during visit in 2015. Wine is classified as Federspiel (between 11.5% and 12.5% ABV), which generally connotes wines that are dry, medium bodied and well balanced. This Gruner is from the Kollmitz vineyard (steep terraced slopes with Danube gravel soil) and is bottled at 12.0% ABV. Pepper and flint on the nose. Green apple and pear fruit, white pepper and smoke, with minerality which shines through. Nice acidity. — 5 years ago
Fruit on the nose, old world-ish.
Acidic, light body, semi dry.
Has some alcohol bite. — 6 years ago

Different. But not bad. — 7 years ago
FUN pinot noir! Stereotypical. Think 777 clones. Heavier flavor and body, deeper cherry. Almost fruit forward Sonoma style. Weight isn't tremendous which makes it great for food. Huge value at $14 retail. Opened 9/9/17 — 8 years ago
