I suppose with climate change, we're going to start seeing more of these Loire SBs without the grassy, pyrazine qualities of years past. Delicious, mineral and citrus driven wine - but it doesn't line up with what I think of as Sancerre. Time to reframe expectations! — 10 years ago

The most striking thing about this wine was the very creamy, buttery brioche flavors, along with lemon and pear. Apparently achieved through natural malolactic fermentation, along with extended lees contact. No oak (yay!). Well balanced with nice crisp acidity. We had the 2009 Vintage on 9/7-8/18. The strawberry fruit is subtle. There was cardomom, mushroom and a nice spice. Truly Burgundian. Medium bodied. No tannin; smooth and ready to drink. — 8 years ago
