It started a little thin but took on life as it breathed. This was a dapper dandy! Great clarity to the wine (sediment caked to the bottle). Scents of dried violets and tea. Loved this well endowed dandy! It needed 20 minutes to breathe but then this merlot based Bordeaux blend opened up into a confident balanced layering of dark berry, chocolate, cassis, clove and vanilla, that lingered on the palate. It had an allure that made you want savor each sip as long as possible. A wonderful (and affordable) find from a mountain vineyard and one of the older family run wineries in Napa — 9 years ago
