Le Bel Ouvrage Savennières Chenin Blanc 2011

How have I not had this wine in my life before? Leafy green tones, dizzying array of orchard and citrus fruits, all super bright and ripe, fresh mushrooms, ginger candy, fresh soil, wax, and stones. Mouth coating and dense. Acidity is persistent but not searing. Balanced from start to finish. — 8 years ago

La Louisiane Gigondas Grenache Blend 2007

Ooh baby ... This is a big, dark wine, but not totally overpowering. Dark fruit, brambly, dried potpourri, anise & some spice I can't figure out yet. Fun drinking now, but would love to try again by year's end — 11 years ago

Montée de Tonnerre Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2012

Wow this was really good, textbook Chablis with the extra dimension you get from 1er sites. Excellent energy and length, seek this out if you think you don't like typically like Chablis but only drink village level. — 9 years ago

Cuvée Graviers Bourgueil Cabernet Franc 2009

Bell pepper, a little spice. Weak finish, but nice fullness of flavor, enjoyable nose with some fruit/berry notes combined with the subtle spice and some earthy notes. Thick an deep plum body. — 11 years ago

Broc de Biques Chablis Chardonnay 2014

Amazing value! Zesty, chalky, minerally, refreshing, pure linear citrus fruit, and lovely mouthfeel. What a bargain for Chablis! — 8 years ago

Vermont Chiroubles Gamay 2011

A delicious Cru Beaujolais! I've been drinking this for about six years and always like it. Light and with a little funk, but not too much. A winner in the Louis/Dressner stable. — 9 years ago

Have you had the VV? Even better. I don't think we have it, but they probably do at CSW. I think you'd dig it.

Côte du Py Morgon Gamay 2012

A very pretty Morton, shimmering and pure. Lovely acidity, plush in the middle with unbaked strawberry-rhubarb character. Finish is long with iron and other mineral notes. Ready for action. Matched well with fresh tomato pasta thanks to the acidity. Looking forward to more wines from this talented young producer. — 9 years ago
