Very long pure special. — 8 years ago
Sweet sweet nectar. Nice balance of ripping acidity and solid RS. Ripe nectarine and peach, white flower and petrol. Slate backbone with laser focus. 2010 wish I had let it age more. Will definitely seek out another bottle and lay her down for a few years. — 9 years ago
Like springtime in the mountains - thought it is fall and there is snow in Vail

Stunning. Beautiful bottle development, nice tension between acid and fruit. Good depth and excellent length. Will certainly go the long haul. — 10 years ago
This is the 2011 not the 2001 — 11 years ago
Fresh clean pure. Perfect accompaniment to cakes, pastries and fruit selection from SD's own Extraordinary Desserts. Big thanks to @Dan Blackwell . — 7 years ago
At 8% alc. this gem is singing right now! Expressive, medium weight with a tangy dry finish. Fantastic! — 8 years ago
Big swing from high acidity to round and sweet. — 9 years ago
This is the 2001. Very delicate floral aromas with lingering orchard fruit. Spatlese is nit my favorite, but still this is starting to show its complexity. — 9 years ago
Hot damn I love aged Riesling. This one might have been a year or so past it’s tip top best but my friend who knows nada about wine tasted it and said “whoa this is a whole meal” which is to say it is wildly apple, honeysuckle, arugula and...feta cheese? So much feta we even got some out of the fridge to taste test. Loved this. Wish I had more. Love Riesling. Get in. — 6 years ago
Hint of petrol and beach ball, touch of sweetness. Terrific balance. — 6 years ago
Bright acidity, honeysuckle and pear on the palate. Perfect with apple crisp après ski — 7 years ago

A little sweet as the acid has faded with age. — 8 years ago
Unfortunately, don't have the opportunity to drink this one, but seeing the bottle was worth 9.6. — 9 years ago

Beautifully balanced acidity, a little lingering sugar, lemon curd. — 10 years ago
Oh hello lovely! Springy Kabi Feinherb. Gorgeous, floral pear and slate. — 10 years ago
We have to send these bottles back ;-) These #vonBeulwitz #Riesling are too easy to drink! — 11 years ago
Yummy!! Intense nose of lime and wet stone. Turns to creamy apricot and lemon pie on the palate. Sea salt minerality throughout. Wunderbar! — 11 years ago

The nose reveals, lighter more subtle petrol characteristics, ripe golden apple, ripe fleshy pineapple , apricots, marmalade, lemon syrup, grapefruit with pith, honey, beeswax, a little lime candy, white spice, dry stones, yellow lilies and spring flowers.
The body is thick, rich, waxy and a touch syrupy. Dry, pineapple & apricots, golden apple, peach, lemon syrup, lime candy, some green apple, grapefruit with pith, marmalade, orange rind, fruit blossoms, honey, beeswax, soft delicate minerality, very light petrol notes, slate, white spice with yellow lilies and spring flowers. Acidity is round and magnificent. The 09 is in a good place with plenty of life ahead. The rich, lush, well balanced finish is persistent for minutes.
Excellent with spicy Asian food.
