Aglianico: like Bordeaux for the Marlboro Man. — 8 years ago
First time for me - 100% Grillo. Green almonds and hazlenuts immediately transported me back to being at seppeltsfield tasting show reserves from the early 1900s. Stunning. — 9 years ago
Sinfonia di profumi e sapori. Fruttini neri e poi Mon Cheri, tabacco dolce .. Tannico il giusto, persistenza infinita. Con un po' più di acidità e sarebbe perfetto! — 10 years ago

Forget contemporary Marsala. Here is the closest, modern relative of the ancestral wine made in Marsala wine region, the Perpetuum. Stellar. — 11 years ago
Had this at mockingbird in Oakland. Loved it. Some floral notes also slightly peppery. Fairly full bodied — 6 years ago

One of a kind Grillo. Went away for a week with a half a bottle left in fridge. Came home and it was still fantastic if not deeper in flavour and more balanced. Serious stuff. Big structure. Tastes of the coast of Sicily. 2011 vintage — 9 years ago
Figs, nuts and Lemon at the very end. — 9 years ago
Memories of #westsicily wine tour! 10 years of barrique. Figs, nuts and the sun of Marsala... — 10 years ago
Honeydew, pear, white nectarine, white flowers, grassy. Smooth, good acidity. Nice finish. — 6 years ago
1.5 hour decant - strong and invincible! — 6 years ago
Very well-balanced. But I wish it was a bit fuller-bodied. Sort of like how it's cool to see a gymnast standing one footed on the beam, but would be far more impressive to see an Hillary do it.

-UPDATE: this thing opened up really nicely over an hour or so (I was distracted from my drinking, usually it's all gone quicker than that). — 8 years ago
Jammy, juicy and flavorful. All while still remaining an easy, light red. — 8 years ago

A little harsh but a good harsh. Fruity/warty taste and smell. Danie isn't a fan. — 10 years ago

Well balanced wine with notes of stone fruit and floral bouquet. Medium bodied wine that gives it some substance. — 6 years ago
