Summer cocktail disguised as a wine. This is actually made with Riesling and I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. Very fruit but not too sweet to consider it a dessert wine.
The setting was idyllic: sitting on the winery’s porch with a summer breeze with the mountains in the distance. I brought a bottle back for the office to try so it’ll be interesting to see if this still holds up without the countryside surroundings. — 7 years ago
molto bene! SO GOOD! Partially repasso style Veronese Corvina blend with great aromas taste and balance. Figs, cherry, undergrowthn the perfect touch of oak. Think Italian villa in the summer and you go through a countryside stroll. Undergrowth, and fruit forward. Balanced juicy, thick, and full bodied. TOP buy for round $20 — 8 years ago
Happy 10th Anniversary Sofia. I’d go back to Cortona and marry you all over again! Such an unbelievable wedding & experience. I love you very much! Cheers & love. ❤️🍾🎉🎶💃 Photos from our 5 year anniversary trip back to Cortina, the building in the Italy Republic Square Cortona we were married and the countryside view from our wedding reception. — 8 years ago

Transported to the French countryside with this wine. It is of a different time and place all together. Fragile. Elegant. Floral. Funky. This wine has it all. Going to the hideout for a while since I stole this for roughly $22. — 9 years ago
What a wine! Grest natural Toscany, cloudy dark yellow sexy color, on the nose are nuts, italian countryside and hints of nice acidity. Its persistent, herbal from the beginning with light animality in the end. This is so good to drink! — 9 years ago
Literally driving into their cellar in the Burgundy countryside through a tunnel in the side of the hill was an experience I won't forget. We did a nice underground tour of the operation and tried three or four of the wines. This one I found to be a very approachable style. I won't get into what it's not, which is tempting here. This is a sparkler that would be suitable for most any party. The focus is on the fruit here while still a dry style. I don't pick up much from the yeast, but for a dry, simple style at a reasonable price, this one's a winner! — 6 years ago

Wow, lovely smooth drop, rich flavour and full countryside smell. Drink now - not much time left. — 8 years ago
Holy extraction grandma. Imagine a bottle of Caymus and a bottle of MollyDooker (any MD, really) met at a party and hit it off.. the Caymus, being outgoing and forgetting it's manners, while slightly inebriated, started dancing a bit too close to the Molly Dooker. She, being equally overt, slightly even more intoxicated, and not being one to say no to a good time, gladly indulged and pulled him closer as the music roared louder. They made their way through the crowd, bumping and grinding, and stumbled out the door to Caymus' sup'd up '69 Mustang Mach 1. Molly, being a thrill seeker with a new found love for Rutherford but a bigger love for adventure, shouted at Caymus as he gripped the wheel - "let's leave this state in our dust!" The two sped across the countryside, hand in hand, and finally ran out of gas as they crossed the state line into Washington. It was there they made love. A lovechild was born. It's name - Levitation. Levi for short.
For those confused - it drinks like a lovechild of Caymus and Molly Dooker coming from Washington. Not bad juice. — 8 years ago
Back in April, I drank this with Alberto at his home/winery. While I'm not in his rustic kitchen eating his bruschetta and overlooking the Tuscan countryside, the wine is still fantastic. Fresh crushed cherries, earth, some bit of herbs, and a heavenly bouquet engulf you. #italy #tuscany #carmignano — 8 years ago

This is quintessential Ribera del Duero. Upfront and exuberant, it transports you to a hot - I mean, HOT - summer's day in the Spanish countryside. The warmth almost exudes from the bottle. Firm but well-integrated tannins mingle with dark red berries, bramble and herbs; the result is a particularly savoury wine that will benefit notably with age. Try this in five years. — 9 years ago
Barbera as it should be. Generous, rustic, intense, honest. It's a wine that looks at you in the eye, speaks of rolling hills, countryside, farm animals and good values. Beautiful nose and excellent length. The great work in the vineyard shows glorious in the glass. Enjoy with no limits ! — 6 years ago
Shoe polish peppery. The bouquet reminds me of a musky, spicy, fragrant cologne my grandfather might have worn in the early 90s.
Takes me back.
Licorice, black cherry, and just a hint of banana peel in the bouquet.
At first taste:
Woah. Flavor bomb.
Rich. All this fruit you don’t sense in the bouquet comes alive. It’s as if you’re berry picking on the French countryside, popping handfuls of mixed berries into your mouth at a time.
$11.99 at TJ. This is a steal.

Our recent meal at The Modern continued with the aid of this very food friendly Syrah from Domaine Jamet. Jamet is one of Cara's favorite producers, in part because of her penchant for barnyard notes (regressive childhood memories playing in the British countryside, maybe). Through the generosity of friends we have been lucky enough to try numerous vintages of the Cote Rôtie. The entry level Syrah was something new. It is distinctly Jamet in that the signature barnyard notes are present and distinctive. The difference lies in the structure. This wine is lightweight in structure and the tanins are barely there. It is extremely approachable in the near term, and was just gorgeous with my beef course at The Modern. I may snag a few bottles. Perhaps one to tuck into while the Cote Rôtie gains age. — 8 years ago

Deep, dark red. True Sicilian elegancy in the balance of the sweetness and bitterness. The wine body is full, dark and intense, symbolizing the intense temperatures, the countryside can experience.
This is an overall great wine, which can be enjoyed by itself or as a complement to dark, red meat, sausages, chocolate, and more. — 8 years ago
Nice balance between deep rustic tone and refined silky finish. Berries come through along with leather, castello and cherry and licorice. Light in texture but lovely full essence of rich Umbrian countryside. Very satisfying and super value. — 8 years ago
One of my favorites. Tastes like the Italian countryside — 9 years ago

This wine reminds me of your cool aunt taking you on a ride to the countryside in her sweet little Mazda Miata and bringing a road lunch of mortadella and baguettes and some lemon tarts for dessert — 6 years ago
