Ripe but not jammy, full bodied, beautiful ropey tannin, great fruit. Haven't had many Mclaren vale cab sav and this nails it. — 9 years ago

Interesting concept here with this range. Same vinification, same vineyards but different aspects. The old house shows far greater depth, aroma and flavour intensity. Rich, earthy, broad and giving — 8 years ago
Like this; open initial opening it drew comparisons with Chianti for sure. Damp leather, walnuts, dark cherry, liquorice and cedar. — 9 years ago
Still has that dried florals and spice from the sang fronted with a sour raspberry cream character. Fresh and zippy — 10 years ago
Part of McLaren Vale's Scarce Earth initiative: fine, showing a spectrum of fruit from red-blue-black; powdery tannin. — 10 years ago
They're onto the 12' now and it's a completely different wine within the exact same bracket. Portion of new oak potentially? Seriously extensive lees time. Chlorine / saline, sea salt, pineapple, chamomile tea leaves. Really no definitive fruit character what so ever apart from the occasional waft of pineapple. Broad through the mid palate, would love a tiny bit more of a finish. Interesting wine to serve up at a blind tasting. Probably ever so slightly prefer the 10'. Give me a little more acid. — 8 years ago
Looking stunning in '15 — 9 years ago
Cant believe this is $16! Such a belter of a quaffer. Pronounced aromatics, burst of exotic fruit salad and tropical fruits; predominantly peach. Zesty citrus palate which is well balanced too — 10 years ago
Varietally spot on - lovely wine. — 10 years ago
